How to access to Okuhida-Onsengo
Access by car
When traveling to Okuhida-Onsengo along the motorway, you can enjoy the beauty of the season, be it fresh spring greenery, the brilliant colors of autumn, or a winter snowscape.
However, because the roadways around Oku-Hida include many mountain roads, there are seasonal regulations on access by private car.
When traveling by car, please check traffic conditions beforehand.
Access by train or express bus
Please use the following trains for a quick and comfortable journey:
-From Nagoya/Osaka, take the Limited Express “Wide View Hida” on the JR Takayama Line
-From Tokyo/Shinjuku, take the Limited Express “”Super Azusa”” on the JR Chuo Line
-From Nagoya, take the Limited Express “Wide View Hida” on the JR Chuo Line
You can also take either the Nozomi or Hikari express train on the Tokaido Shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagoya and then the Limited Express “Wide View Hida” on the Takayama Line.
